Meet the Team: Matt Sharkey

For our next Spotlight, we spoke with Matt Sharkey to learn more about his role at Roessel Joy and why he loves his job!

What is your role?

I am the Accounting and Finance Division Director of Recruiting. I manage the recruiting team to ensure that all candidates get the best experience while making major life decisions. I also work alongside candidates to help them get the job they want, which I enjoy because I get the privilege of hearing their stories and aspirations.

 What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most fulfilling part of my job is training new recruiters at Roessel Joy and helping them to achieve success in their careers. I also get to find candidates great jobs that are rewarding to them and help them reach their full potential.

Why do you like working at Roessel Joy?

Our top priorities are candidates and clients, we genuinely care about the people we work with. This translates into a fantastic company culture as well.

Helping others to accomplish their career goals.

What is your favorite piece of career advice?

“Consistency is key.” This job involves coming into work and performing a routine and if you stick to that routine, you will have long term success.

What is one thing we should know about you that we can’t find on LinkedIn?

On the weekends, I work on my sunglass tan.
