What is your role here at Roessel Joy?

I am a recruiting associate for the permanent placement team!

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

I have loved listening in on the senior recruiter’s interviews with candidates. Hearing candidates’ stories who come from vastly different backgrounds has been a major growing point for me. I have really enjoyed becoming familiar with prioritizing candidates’ stronger skills and matching them with jobs that truly meet their needs and qualifications.

Why do you like working at Roessel Joy?

It has been clear to me since my first week that Roessel Joy puts in the hard work to ensure that they stand out from their competitors. Their goals are more than numbers, as RJ aims for success in quality placements first. The intimate and highly specialized training has shown me that this company takes retention and employee excellence seriously.

What values drive and motivate you?

Above all I value respect. Respect for clients, candidates, and fellow employees is something that I knew was nonnegotiable for me in my post-grad job search. Respect is a very broad value to hold, however, I believe if it is placed in the center of how I operate, then I will be able to navigate difficult moments with grace and find success with integrity.

What is your favorite piece of career advice?

Ask questions. Learning from people, no matter how different their style of operating is, will teach you valuable lessons.

What is one thing we should know about you that we can’t find on LinkedIn?

I am working towards getting my dual citizenship in Sweden! Most of my family lives there and as we travel there often to visit them, having an EU passport makes entering and exiting the country much easier.
