Meet the Team: Jennifer Bragg

For our Spotlight this week, we spoke with Jennifer Bragg to learn more about her role at Roessel Joy and what she loves about it.

What is your role? My role is Recruiting and Operations Intern. I reach out to potential candidates and schedule interviews with the Recruiting associates while working alongside Sarah, the Director of Operations, to help with office management, employee onboarding, and the organization’s marketing.

 What is the most rewarding part of your job?

It is really rewarding to be able to be part of finding the right candidates that potentially end up getting hired for the job they want. Additionally, being able to assist my coworkers/office wherever needed makes a tangible difference while relieving my coworkers of certain responsibilities.

Why do you like working at Roessel Joy?

I enjoy the people. Working in a startup environment is so unique, especially at Roessel Joy where we all work hard and motivate each other, without creating an unhealthy, cut-throat environment. We all get along so well and cheer each other on when we succeed. For me, that is the ideal workplace environment.

What values drive and motivate you?

Being genuine, compassionate, and hardworking.

What is your favorite piece of career advice?

“Take risks in your career.” We had a lecturer speak to us during a business class last year, and that was something she said that has stuck with me. I want to always keep an open mind professionally and take chances on opportunities even if I am completely unsure of the outcome. I took a chance coming to this organization, in an industry I had no experience in. I am so glad I did because I love it.

What is one thing we should know about you that we can’t find on LinkedIn?

When I’m not working, you can find me drinking my Dunkin Donuts iced coffee and listening to a true crime or news podcasts.
