Meet the Team: Lucas Berchuck

For this Spotlight this week, we spoke with Lucas Berchuck to learn more about his role at Roessel Joy and why he’s loving it.

What is your role?

My role at Roessel Joy is a Recruiting Associate, which means that I find candidates and work with them to help them get the roles they want.

 What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is getting to speak with all different kinds of people and being able to help them find a position they feel fulfilled in.

Why do you like working at Roessel Joy?

Everyone at Roessel Joy operates on a Work Hard, Play Hard mentality and it has been a great environment to work in. We all push each other to be our best.

What values drive and motivate you?

To always be learning new things. There are so many opportunities in life to gain more knowledge and understanding, and I want to take advantage.

What is your favorite piece of career advice?

“To find opportunity in the chaos.” I remember this hit home for me when I was working at a casting office for the show High Fidelity, and I told a coworker how overwhelming the job was, as the set was in complete disarray. My coworker responded with this small piece of advice, and it completely changed my perspective and has stayed with me ever since.

What is one thing we should know about you that we can’t find on LinkedIn?

When I am not working, I spend my time watching far too many 70’s films. My favorite movie is The Deer Hunter with Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro.
